🟩Green / Training-Level – This level is intended for horses and/or handlers in the early development of liberty work or who are competing for the first year in an organized liberty event. Designed to provide a low-pressure experience with supportive structure. Movement expectations are minimal, with patterns focused on calm execution and basic cues. Encourages confidence-building and exposure to a show environment for both horse and handler.
1️⃣Level 1 – Introductory – At this level, basic maneuvers with simple transitions. All work is performed at the walk and/or jog. Maneuvers are clearly spaced and not combined in sequence. Patterns may include: travel at shoulder, circle, stop/halt, back, ground tie, change shoulders.
2️⃣Level 2 – Developing – This level introduces greater flow and moderate transitions. Patterns may include walk, trot/jog and canter/lope elements. Maneuvers may be combined sequentially or require transitions between directions or positions. Patterns may include Level 1 maneuvers, plus: change direction at gait, call horse to you, sidepass, turn-around/turn on forehand or haunches.
3️⃣Level 3 – Advanced – Advanced patterns require precise communication and fluid execution. Patterns will include walk, trot/jog and canter/lope elements Maneuvers will flow continuously, with limited space or pause between maneuvers. May include Level 1 and/or 2 maneuvers, plus: lead change(s), lay down/stand, more advanced transitions, and body control, extended sequences with minimal visible cues
